Absolutely! They will have a vacation that they will remember and talk about for years to
come.
Does the lake house have a hot tub?
Not at this time, however we hope to put one in by the end of the summer.
What should I bring with me to the lake house?
We have tried to stock our lake house with everything you might need except yourself
and groceries. Pack a hair dryer if you wish to use one and any personal toiletries you
may need. Bring spices and condiments of your preference.
Do I need wood for the fireplaces?
No, there is plenty of wood stacked in various spots on the lot.
What about gas and groceries?
You will probably want to get your main groceries before arriving at the lake house, even
though Jefferson City is only twelve miles away. There are several gas stations within a
couple of miles of the house.
What about smoking?
Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside the lake house.
What about having a bonfire?
Yes, but due to the dry conditions you must keep a close eye on it and make sure it is
put out before going back inside.
Can I bring my boat or trailer?
Yes, however the driveway down to the lake house from the street is very winding and
will require good backing up skills. There is plenty of room in the driveway and it is

What is the best time of year to visit?
The beauty of our area is the seasons!!! Everybody knows that the mountains are a cool
respite in the summer and gorgeous in the fall. To many of us who live here, the winter is
the prettiest time as you can see forever in the crisp air during the day, then snuggle up
and feel cozy at night. Spring is quite a marvel too as you can still see very well through
the trees, plus have the bonus of the daffodils, dogwoods, apple trees, forsythia, etc
greeting the new season in a riot of vibrant colors.
Do cell phones work in the area?
Yes, however there are a couple of dead spots in the lower level. Outside is usually fine
though.
How do I pay for the Lake House?
50% deposit due at time of reservation with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. We
accept Mastercard, or Visa. Full payment is due at the time of reservation for stays
within the next 30 days.
Are there any cleaning fees?
Yes, we charge only $125. We do ask though, that the lake house be left in the same
condition as when you arrived. We have a washer and dryer in the lake house for your
convenience only - we'll take care of the laundry! We do ask that you load any dirty
dishes in the dishwasher prior to departure, or leave $10 behind for the housekeeper's
extra time.
